Episode 11

Dating is a Shitshow

Millie and Maxine get real about kids, dating, and kids dating. Oh wait, it’s not called “dating” anymore. It’s “talking.” Another GenZ phrase demystified – you’re welcome! What they can’t figure out is why their teens are Facetiming each other but not looking at the screen. Remember talking on the landline phone to your crush for hours until your mom made you hang up because you didn’t have call waiting?

They discuss dating in your 40s and if you should (or can even find the time to) continue to “date” your spouse. They share their best and worst date stories (Millie’s worst may involve a cowboy hat and her best definitely involves a rooftop picnic) and Maxine finally has to admit that Millie’s husband isn’t so bad after all.

And, finally, the friends imagine what their lives would be like if they had to choose their careers at age 6. PhD in bugs, anyone?
